Step-by-step explanation:

Given that:-

One number is one fifth of the other.

Let the number be X

then, the other number = (1/5)X=X/5

Their sum = 90

=>X+X/5=90

=>(5X+X)/5=90

=>6X/5=90

=>6X=90×5

=>6X=450

=>X=450/6

=>X=75

=>X/5=75/5=15

The two numbers are 75 and 15

Check :-

75/15=5

So 15 is one fifth of 75

and 75+15=90

Their sum is 90
