★ Answer :

Let the total monet of rahul be a.

So, Money spend on house rent = 1a/8

Money spend on food and education = 3a/5

Money spend on other items = 1a/4

Money left = ₹ 1000

So, According to question

\tt{\implies a - \bigg( \frac{1a}{4} + \frac{3a}{5} + \frac{1a}{8} \bigg) = 1000} \\ \\ \tt{\implies a - \bigg( \frac{10a + 24a + 5a}{40} \bigg) = 1000} \\ \\ \tt{\implies a - \bigg( \frac{39a}{40} \bigg) = 1000} \\ \\ \tt{\implies \frac{40a - 39a}{40} = 1000} \\ \\ \tt{\implies a = 1000 \times 40} \\ \\ \tt{\implies a = 40000}

So, total money of Rohan is ₹ 40,000.
