salivary emylaze is released in mouth and food is mixed and chopped with the help of muscular oragan called tongue
after that it travels all way along the oesophagus through a process of peristalisis
it reaches stomach and mixes well with HCl mucous and pepsin which is a protein digesting enzyme
it forms chyme and then passes through small intestine to mix with bile juice and bile salts frm liver and pancreatic juices which produce enzymes frm breaking down fat carbohydrates and proteins into simpler compounds
also intestinal juices convert fat into fatty aicids proteins into amino acids and carbohydrates into glucose...after that in large intestine water and nutrients r absorbed and the latter is removed or excreted through anus
