In the story " The adventure of Toto " by Ruskin Bond , Toto is a monkey .The narrator bought a monkey from a Tonga driver at Rs. 5 first when Gyand's father saw Toto tided up to a feeding through , he looked very ill and ugly . Toto was a pretty monkey . As Gyand's father has his own private zoo , he kept the little monkey in it . Toto was kept secret from grandmother as she didn't like animals . One day , when going to get his pension from Shahevpuv , he decided to take Toto with him . A black big canvas kit bag was provided for Toto so that he could not escape . Gradually grandmother accepted Toto in the house . In Winter when Toto had to go for bath he would test the temperature with his hand . After being comfortable he will take soap and starts bathing . He always do bad things such as trainings things to pieces . Then Gyand father realised that Toto is not a good pet and hence sold back to the man at Rs.3 .
