4x^2 + 12x + 9
= 4x^2 + 6x + 6x + 9
= 2x(2x +3) + 3(2x + 3)
= (2x + 3)(2x+3)
x + 4x +(9x + 3) = -4
5x + 9x = -4 -3
14x = -7
x = -7/14
x = -1/2
= 4x^2 + 6x + 6x + 9
= 2x(2x +3) + 3(2x + 3)
= (2x + 3)(2x+3)
x + 4x +(9x + 3) = -4
5x + 9x = -4 -3
14x = -7
x = -7/14
x = -1/2
