John Milton was born in London on 9th December, 1608 to notary father and mother known for charities.

He received early education at home, studied in Latin and joined Christ's college, Cambridge and passed matriculation in 1625, B.A. in 1629 and M.A. in 1632.

John's earliest poem was 'On the Morning of Christ's Nativity'. His other poems include 'L'Allergro' and 'L'Penseroso'.
