Given,

Area of the base of the cylinder = 616 cm².
Height of the cylinder = 2.5 cm.
Volume of the cylinder = V .

V =  \pi {r}^{2} h
\pi {r}^{2}  = area \: of \: the \: base \: circle \\  of \: the \: cylinder.

So, volume of the cylinder:

= Area of the base circle of the cylinder * height of the cylinder.

= 616*2.5

 = 1540  \: {cm}^{3}
volume \: of \: the \: cylinder  \\ = 1540 {cm}^{3}

Volume of cylinder = πr^2h
Then base of Cylinder =616 Cm^2
πr^2=616
[22/7]xr^2 = 616
r^2 =616x7/22
r^2 = 196
r^2 = 14^2
r = 14
Now
Volume=22/7x 14^2 x2.5
= 1540cm^3
