equivalent resistance in the circuit = s1+s2+s3 =1+2+3=6ohm
p.d. across the end of circuit=12v
therefore current=v/r = 12/6 = 2 ampere.
now.. we know from ohms law that..v=i.r
therefore, p.d. across r2 =2×2 v= 4v.
p.d. across the end of circuit=12v
therefore current=v/r = 12/6 = 2 ampere.
now.. we know from ohms law that..v=i.r
therefore, p.d. across r2 =2×2 v= 4v.

R1 ,R2and R3 are in series therefore equivalent resistance R = R1 + R2+ R3= 1+2+3=6
V=12
I=V/R = 12/6= 2 on each resistance
now on R2,
V =I ×R = 2×2= 4
V=12
