For every 1 minute there is a difference to 4 min.

Longitudinal extent of India is 68 degree 7 minutes to 97 degree 25 minutes.

So 97.25 – 68.07 is 29.18.

29.18 * 4 = 116.72 minutes

That's why there is almost two hours difference between AP and Gujarat.
