Please tell me why the hybridisation is sp3d2?
& why there are 6 orbital rooms in place of 4s and 4p?

In sp3d2, the s, p and d orbitals which are hybridized all come from the same energy level, for instance, it has been taught that when sulfur combines with six fluorine atoms to make SF6 that the 3s, 3p and two 3d orbitals hybridize to make the sp3d2hybrid orbital set. But d2sp3 is different.

Properties :

1)  sp3d2 hybrid orbitals are directed towards the six corners of regular octahedron.

2) Four out of six hybrid orbitals are lying in one plane while remaining two are directed above and below the plane containing four hybrid orbitals  perpendicularly.

3) Geometry is octahedral and bond angle is 900.
