Let the no. in tens place be x.
and the no. in units place be y.
Then no. is 10x+y
A.T.Q,
x=3y _______(1)

Also, 10y - x = 10x + y - 36
=> 9y - 9x = -36
=> 9(-x+y) = -36
=> -x + y = -4 ______(2)

Adding equation (1) and (2) we get,

-2y = -4 {since,x gets cancelled}

y=2

Substituting value of y in equal(2)*

-x + 2 = -4
-x = -6
x= 6

So, the number is 10x + y

i.e. 10(6) + 2 = 60+2
= 62

Hope this helps!!!!!

AnswerStation: i substituted value of y in rquation 2
AnswerStation: but you can substitute it also in equation 1
AnswerStation: it is ur choice
yashdeep9205: k thanks
AnswerStation: wlc bro
yashdeep9205: why u have taken 36
AnswerStation: it is given that the number reversed is 36 less than original no.
AnswerStation: In simple form take original no. as A and reversed as B . So it is given A is 36 less than B. So cant we write it as A = B + 36
AnswerStation: thats what i did
