a^x = b^y = c^z = k
a= k^( 1/x)
b= k^(1/y)
c= k^( 1/z)
substitute in a^3 = b^2 c
k^( 3/x) = k^( 2/y) k^(1/z)
k^( 3/x) = k^( 2/y + 1/z)
compare
3/x = 2/y + 1/z
3/x - 2/y = 1/z
