Option D) [i.e. ii and iv] are correct

First of all, this is an example of DISPLACEMENT REACTION, in which a highly reactive metal displaces hydrogen from HCl and produces hydrogen gas and chloride salt.

So, only those metals who are higher than hydrogen in reactivity series will displace hydrogen.

  • Iron and Zinc are more reactive thn hydrogen. So, reaction ii and iv are possible.

1) Fe + 2HCl \rightarrow FeCl_{2} + H_{2}

2) 2Zn + 2HCl \rightarrow 2ZnCl + H_{2}

Hope It Helps
