Explanation:

Here's a rough diagram for you-

As in the picture, the x-displacement is

20·sin45° - 15·cos30° = 14.14 - 12.99 = 1.15 m

And, y-displacement is

(20·cos45° + 15·sin30°) - 20 = (14.14 + 7.5) - 20 = 1.64 m

Hence, the displacement will be vector sum of these components, as shown in second image i.e.,

Displacement=\sqrt{(1.15)^2+(1.64)^2}\\\\=\sqrt{1.3225+2.6896}\\\\=\sqrt{4.0121}

Hence, It's nearly equal to 2 meters.
