Hey Mate ! Hope This Helps !!

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the breadth of the rectangle be x.

In 1st case,

   Length = Width + 6 cm

⇒ Length = x +6

Area of first rectangle = x(x+6)

                                    = x² + 6x

In second case,

  Length  = (x + 6) - 3  =  x + 3

  Width = x - 3

Area of rectangle = Length x width

                             = (x + 3)(x-3)

                             = x² - (3)²

                             = x² - 9

Subtracting the area by 36 cm²,

     x²-9 = x² + 6x - 36

⇒     6x = 36 -  9

⇒       x = 27/6

⇒       x = 4.5 cm

Now, Length = x + 6 = 4.5 + 6 = 10.5
