For Y axis mid point= [4+1)]/2= 2.5
[On the graph, negative sign shows it's direction. So -1 means 1 unit in opposite direction. For length of a line it is taken as +1, So is here.]

So the mid point coordinates of the line AB are,
(-2,2.5)
