step 1 substracting seconds

10sec-20sec

=>70sec-20sec (since we cannot substract 20 from 10 we carry 1min i.e 60 sec from 71 min minutes making it 70min and adding 60sec to 10 which becomes 70sec)

=>In the second place we have 50sec

Step 2 Substracting Minutes

70min - 40min (71 has become 70 in the last step)

=>30 min.

In minutes place we have 30 minutes

Therefore Answer = 30min 50sec
