Answer:

x = 70°

y = 60°

Step-by-step explanation:

Sum of the angles on a straight line is equal to 180°

x + 110° = 180°

x = 180° - 110°

x = 70°

Sum of the three angles in a triangle is equal to 180°

50° + y + 70° = 180°

y + 120° = 180°

y = 180° - 120°

y = 60°

Given

  • In the figure side B is 50° and AD is 110°

To find

  • We have to find the value of x and y

Solution

{\bf\purple{\dag}\: {\red{\boxed{\mathfrak{As \ we \ that\: :}}}}}

\;\boxed{\sf{\pink{Sum \: of \: the \:  three\: sides \: of \: triangle = 180°}}}

\underline{\bf\orange{\dag}\: {\green{\mathfrak{According \ to \ the \ question\: :}}}}

We have to find the value of x now, To find the value of x we have Subtract 110° from 180° after subtracting both the numbers we will get the value of x

            \leadsto x + 110° = 180°

              \leadsto 180° - 110° = x

                 \leadsto x = 70°

We have found the value of x so now, we have to find the value f y. To find the value of y we have to add the value of x which is 70° from the Value of B which is 50° after adding the numbers we have to subtract the addition of both the numbers from 180°, After subtracting it we will get the value of y.

           \leadsto y + 50° + 70°

           \leadsto y + 120°

           \leadsto 180° - 120° = y

           \leadsto y = 60°

∴ Hence, verified! that the value of x \mapsto 70° and the value of y \mapsto 60°
