Question :

  • In ∆ABC ∠A = 2x - 5 ° , ∠B = 5x + 5° and ∠C = 3x + 50° , Find the value of x and ∠A , ∠B and ∠C.

Solution :

As we know that,

 \boldsymbol{Sum  \: of \:  all   \: interior \:  angles  \: of \:  a \:  triangle = 180  \degree}

So,

⇨∠A + ∠B + ∠C = 180

⇨2x - 5 + 5x + 5 + 3x + 50 = 180

⇨ 2x + 3x + 5x + 50 + 5 - 5 = 180

⇨ 10x + 50 = 180

⇨ 10x = 180 - 50

⇨ 10x = 130

⇨ x = 130/10

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ x = 13

⟶ ∠A = 2x - 5

⟶ ∠A = 2 × 13 - 5

⟶ ∠A = 26 - 5

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀∠A = 21°

⟶ ∠B = 5x + 5

⟶ ∠B = 5 × 13 + 5

⟶ ∠B = 65 + 5

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ∠B = 70°

⟶ ∠C = 3x + 50

⟶ ∠C = 3 × 13 + 50

⟶ ∠C = 39 + 50

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ∠C = 89°

☣️Verification :

Sum of interior angles of triangle = 180°

∠A + ∠B + ∠C = 180

21 + 70 + 89 = 180

91 + 89 = 180

180 = 180

LHS = RHS

Hence Verified

So,

  • Value of x = 13
  • ∠A = 21°
  • ∠B = 70°
  • ∠C = 89°
