Capacity or Volume of tank or Total water that can fill the tank = 8×6×5 = 240m³

The water is up-to a level of 3.5 m.

Volume of water present in the tank = 8×6×3.5 = 168 m³

Volume of water needed to be added so that tank gets filled = 240- 168 = 72m³

Hence, 72m³ of water is needed to fill the tank ,Option (4)
