DECCAN PLATEAU -:
The Deccan Plateau is a large plateau in southern India. It rises to 100 metres (330 ft) in the north, and to more than 1,000 metres (3,300 ft) in the south, forming a raised triangle within the South-pointing triangle of the Indian sub continent's coastline.
The Deccan Plateau covers parts of south central and southern India.
It extends over eight Indian states and encompasses a wide range of habitats, covering most of central and southern India.
The plateau is located between two mountain ranges, the Western Ghats and the Eastern Ghats, each of which rises from its respective nearby coastal plain, and almost converge at the southern tip of India. It is separated from the Gangetic plain to the north by the Satpura and Vindhya Ranges, which form its northern boundary. The Deccan produced some of the major dynasties in Indian history Pallavas, Satavahana, Vakataka, Chalukya, and Rashtrakuta dynasties, the Western Chalukya, the Kadamba Dynasty, Kakatiya Empire, Vijayanagara and Maratha empires and the Muslim Bahmani Sultanate, Deccan Sultanate, and the Nizam of Hyderabad.

WESTERN GHATS -:
Western Ghats also known as Sahyadri (Benevolent Mountains) is a mountain range that runs parallel to the western coast of the Indian peninsula, located entirely in India. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is one of the eight "hottest hot-spots" of biological diversity in the world. It is sometimes called the Great Escarpment of India.[3] The range runs north to south along the western edge of the Deccan Plateau, and separates the plateau from a narrow coastal plain, called Konkan, along the Arabian Sea.
A total of thirty-nine properties including national parks, wildlife sanctuaries and reserve forests were designated as world heritage sites - twenty in Kerala, ten in Karnataka, five in Tamil Nadu and four in Maharashtra.

Short note on DECCAN PLATEAU:-
The Deccan Plateau is a part of the larger peninsular plateau and extends from the south of river Narmada in a triangular shape. The satpura range marks its northern boundary while on the east it is bounded by Mahadev, Kaimur and Maikal hills.

Short note on WESTERN GHATS:-
The western cyclonic disturbances experienced in the north and north- western parts of the country are brought on by westerly flow coming from the westerly winds from the Mediterranean Sea. In summer, the subtropical westerly jet stream moves north of the Dear Studentmalayas with the apparent movement of the sun.

HOPE it helps!!!!!
