Once there was a crane who went to the bank of a river to drink water. He was observing his image in the water. There came a peacock. He walked boastfully towards the crane and told him ''See how beautiful I look filled with so many brilliant hues. I have multicolored feathers. And look how simple you look without any colours as if you are full of sadness. Because of this people like only me and not you. I'm much beautiful than you. You seem nothing in front of me. ''
The crane wisely replied to this. He said, ''Great! But I am glad that I don't have a look like you which is useless instead God has gifted me the ability to fly higher than you which is helpful. '' And then the crane flew away.
This way the wise crane broke the overconfidence of peacock.
