There are 90 multiple choice questions in a test. Two marks are awarded for
every correct answer and one mark is deducted for every wrong answer. If

Answer:

Let the no. of correct answers be x.

Therefore, no. of incorrect answers = 90 - x

As per question

2 marks are awarded for correct answer and 1 mark is deducted from total score if the answer is incorrect

therefore, 2x - 1 (90 - x) = 60

2x - 90 + x = 60

3x - 90 = 60

3x = 90 + 60

3x = 150

x = 150 ÷ 3

50

therefore Anitha answered 50 questions.
