AB || CD ( Alternate interior angles )

Because it is forming alternate angles and alternate agles are formed between parallel lines only .

Angle ABC = Angle BCD = 40°

2.)

CD || EF

When a line cuts a parallel line the angles forms on interior has sum equal to 180° .

In this case this line is EC .

Angle FEC + Angle DCE = 180°

160° + 20° = 180°

180° = 180°

Hence this condition is true .

So, CD || EF

3.)

As , AB || CD and CD || EF . Then AB || EF

Hence proved .
