in the story they represent the childhood of Abdul kalam when he was in 5th standard. As we know that kalam was a muslim person. some muslim people wear a cap which is only were by muslims . But kalam didn't were that cap at first . when he was in 5th standard he started wearing it. he like to sit on the same bench with the same person who is his classmate Ramanandha, who's father Was a hindu prist . as a young child they like to sit next to each other. in their school ther is a new teacher who was narrow minded. that's why he can't tolerate two different religion to be friends or to sit on one bench. the new teacher deliberately try to change kalam's sit so that the two friends can't sit together. this make both kalam and Ramanandha unhappy. they went to their home and said all this thing to their parents .then Ramanandha's after went to school next day . Ramanandha's father told that new teacher not to spread social inquality among the young students and asked him to apology if the new teacher don't want to lose his jod....so at last to save his job he immediately apology to him and change his behaviour
