Answer:

P(G)=7/15

Step-by-step explanation:

Probability for a boy to be chosen

=no.of boys in class/total no.of students

=16/30  = 8/15

so therefore the probability for a girl to be chosen

=(no.of students-no.of boys)/no.of students

=no.of girls in class/no.of students

=(30-16)/30

=14/30

=7/15

there is also another way of getting :

As 1 is a sure event we take

probability for a girl to be chosen

=1-(Probability for a boy to be chosen)

=1-8/15

=(15-8)/15

=7/15
