A day labourer is a person who renders manual labour in various sectors in our society every day. He works very hard from dawn till dusk. Usually, he lives hand to mouth. Generally, he has no land or firm of his own. The condition of his family is very poor and pathetic. He has to work hard in various sectors in society, such as; chopping woods, working as a construction worker, carrier of goods, etc. He gets his wages at the end of the day. And that wage is very little for him to maintain his family properly. Even some days he does not find any work to do. Then he and his family have to suffer much or even starve. Sorrows and sufferings are his daily companions. Besides, many people even maltreat them. But the service of a day labourer is very essential and valuable for us. That is most commendable and praiseworthy. So, we should raise a soft feeling for him in us.
