 \frac{1}{2} x - 3 = 5 +  \frac{1}{3}x \\  \\  \frac{1}{2} x =  5 +  \frac{1}{3} x + 3 \\  \\  \frac{1}{2} x -  \frac{1}{3} x = 8 \\  \\  \frac{3}{6} x -  \frac{2}{6} x = 8 \\  \\ x( \frac{3}{6}  -  \frac{2}{6} ) = 8 \\  \\  \frac{1}{6} x = 8 \\  \\ x = 8 \times  \frac{6}{1}  \\  \\ x = 48
