i) First circuit will have more resistance as in series combination of resistors the equivalent resistance is maximum.

ii)Second circuit, as I in the parallel combination is variable and keeps changing.

iii) In first circuit the heat produced will be more as compared to the second one. The reistance and heat are directly proportional to each other, the first will have more heat.
