Answers
Answer:
1) Yes, there is not one scientific method, the thing which is common depends upon in which perspective you are thinking. Two things which are common are:
a. The methods are scientifically and mathematically proved
b. Scientists main goal is to know and gain knowledge.
2) Law is a statement which concludes the overall observation. It predicts what can happen under certain circumstances .Theory on the other hand is explains why the thing is happening. If we talk what is similar, law and theory both are based upon observation.
3) Data is factual information. For eg, The data on what is the height of the students in a class. Evidence is the data that proofs a thing and supports a conclusion.
4) Scientists use models to explain to the public and understand own that how a situation is happening. We humans understand more accurately, easily and can conclude a situation when we observe with our eyes. Many things are there which are difficult to believe and here the role of 'model' takes place.
All models have limitations because they are not representative of every possible scenario. It may not predict the behavior of the real system very accurately. It just increases the chances for the accuracy.
5) A good scientific question is which questions the logic behind the observation. It should be sensible and raising a doubt in the mind coming with a conclusion.
Scientific ideas change over time as our evidence improves. The more experiments we do and the more data we collect, the better our scientific ideas become. Many a times, scientists believing something to be true in the end realizes it's not the correct explanation and the real reason is something else.
