I like to think of the conclusion as the "why did I just read this project" section. The goal of most projects is to deliver a message to the audience, to prove a point (the thesis). By the conclusion, you will have already proven your point. You just want to make the point relevant to your audience. Why do they care? How will they benefit from this information?
Once you 1) restate your thesis and 2) tie up loose ends, you should 3) put the information into perspective. If you are writing a paper arguing for humanitarian aid for Syrian refugees, for example, you might want to point out the reasons why that aid actually helps the average person. If you are doing an informative project, such as outlining the development of Japan post-World War II, you could conclude by pointing out similarities or differences to the US post-World War II.
