In this story, the author blended some humour and satire. It started off by mentioning Mrs. Packletide's lust for shooting down a tiger. She wanted to do so just because of her jealousy towards Loona Bimberton who flew in an Algerian aviator for doing the same.
She believed that only a harvest of press can counter that sort of thing. Along with that, she decided to host a luncheon party in honour of Loona Bimberton.
The day arrived. There was a safe and comfortable platform for Mrs. Packletide and her paid companion who kept an elder sister attitude towards money. A deaf and old tiger was chosen for the purpose along with a goat that had a loud bleat.
Mrs. Packletide missed her shot but still the Tiger was found dead. It was because that old beast suffered from a heart failure. She was a complete fluke.
At the end, her paid companion blackmails her to get money for a weekend cottage where she planted Tiger Lilllies for the remembrance of the incident.
