BHOPAL: A health check-up camp was organised at Sukanya Blooms Play School recently. Dr R K Yadav, a renowned paediatrician conducted the camp. Its main purpose was to maintain proper health in the students. Fresh fruits and a mango fruit juice were given to them. It was a successful initiative, said Namrata Bharadwaj, principal of the school.
The Basant Utsav would be celebrated by the Anand Niketan Democratic School (AND School) on the school premises on February 17. Children will put up stalls, displaying and selling various art and craft materials, models and curios, which they have been learning and making throughout the year. Besides, there would be some skits and songs performed by children and they would also share about the school processes and experiences. This would be followed by a school tour.
Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV no 2) recently bagged the award for the best German group song contest organised at the Swami Vivekanand Library along with Max Mueller Bhavan Library. Three KVs comprising 9 teams and 45 students participated in the competition. An open competition was held during the period. "Guess the song" competition to the tune of Indian classical music, two songs not heard of the German language. The winning team comprised Akshat Pagare, Citranshu Srivastava, Adyant Ingalkar, Jyotsna Gond and Sweta Kumari. The song they sang was 'Haast doo Geswestr' while their German coach was Jainendra Kumar. KV Bairagarh stood second while KV no 1 came third.

Red Rose School, Lambakheda conducted an overnight camp on February 12 for the students of classes II to V. The day of the campers began with prayers and meditation. The school morning assembly was also presented by the camper students. As a part of the breathing exercise, they went for a brisk walk accompanied with whistling to the adjoining farm. They observed various crops growing, plants and trees. Various activities were organised to develop their psychomotor skills and hand and eye-coordination skills. They were also taken to Manav Sangrahalaya where they were taught table manners and etiquettes and sharing during the breakfast, lunch and dinner. Students also danced around the campfire at night. The camp concluded with an exhibition and a short cultural programme presented for the parents. Chairman Sumeet Ponda congratulated everyone for the wonderful camp.
