The difference between metals and non- metals are:

1) Metals are electropositive in nature whereas non-metals are electronegative in nature .

2) Metals are ductile whereas non-metals are non - ductile .

3) Metals are good conductor of heat and electricity whereas non-metals are bad conductor of heat and electricity.

4) Metals are malleable whereas non-metals are non- malleable .

5)Metals are used in machinary ,eg: silver,gold,etc whereas non-metals are used in medical and chemical uses ,eg: carbon, oxygen , sulphur ,etc .
