Justification of commercial use of nuclear energy on society with the background of terrorism

Good morning everyone present; I am going to speak briefly on the topic ‘Justification of commercial use of nuclear energy on society with the background of terrorism’; I am going to speak in favor of it.

Nuclear energy has the potential to supply clean energy to the entire world. This clean energy won’t solve energy problems, but also reduce greenhouse gases’ emission considerably. Thus using nuclear energy we can kill two birds with one stone.  

Now the question arises, can it be used safely in a terrorism-riddled world? Well, the answer is, ‘yes’.  Some advanced countries such as France, USA, Russia, China, etc. are using nuclear energy quite successfully. A very high quality of proactive and cautious attitude is needed to use nuclear energy. Internal safety of the reactors can be maintained by dedicated and highly skilled nuclear engineers, whereas the outer safety of the nuclear plants can be maintained by highly professional security personnel.  

If both the internal and external security are taken care of, no question of hazard of nuclear energy rises.  

I strongly feel use of nuclear energy even in the current times when terrorism is quite prevalent, is justified.
