To verify :

If [ 8,15,17 ] are Pythagoras triplets

Solution :

First of all we need to know what is Pythagoras triplets.

Pythagoras triplets - are set of three numbers which follows Pythagoras theorem, which is given as

Pythagoras theorem - For a right angle triangle, square of hypotenuse is equal to sum of square of other side ( base and perpendicular )

As we know hypotenuse is longest side among all three side,

So we will assume 17 to be hypotenuse and 8 & 15 to be other sides

➝ Now we need to prove, that (hypotenuse)² = (base)² + (perpendicular)²

➝ That is we need to prove , (17)² = (8)² + (15)²

LHS = 17²

➝ LHS = 289

________________________________

RHS = 8² + 15²

➝ RHS = 64 + 225

➝ RHS = 289

________________________________

Form above it is clear that LHS = RHS

Therefore [ 8,15,17 ] follow Pythagoras theorem and hence they are Pythagoras triplets.
