Explanation:

TO get the reaction done u need to react the alkyne with hydrogen bromide (HBr).

CH2=CH-CH2-C=_CH +HBR=

CH2=CH-CH2-CBr=CH2.

In short the negative part of the reagent will get attached to the carbon atom having less no. of hydrogen this rule is called as markovnikov rule.

Also depends on the amount of reagent.

this depends on the quantity you've got.

CASE I:

with good amount of bromine you will get,

CH2Br--CHBr--CH2--CBr2--CHBr2

do consider, excess of bromine results in colourlessness. but, that involves double and triple bonds. if you want them too, inbox me, I would love to teach you more on this!!
