Heya here is your answer....

Let the 2 parallel sides of given trapezium be x

So acc to question,first side=3x

And second side=5x

Area of trapezium =1/2(sum of parallel sides)h

448=1/2(3x+5x)14

448=1/2(8x)14

448=(8x)7

448=56x

x=448/56=8 cm

Hence the two parallel sides are:

(1)3x=3(8)=24 cm

(2)5x=5(8)=40 cm
