Find the prime factors:

120 = 2³ x 3 x 5

180 = 2² x 3² x 5

240 = 2⁴ x 3 x 5

Find the HCF:

HCF = 2² x 3 x 5 = 60

Answer: He can use tins that can contain 60 litres  of oil.
