Explanation:

given that -

V = 4volt

R1 = 6ohm

R2 = 2 ohm

i) combined resistance = R1 + R2 = 6 + 2 = 8 ohms

ii) as per by ohms law

V = I X R

I = V / R

I = 4 / 8 = 1 / 2 = 0.5 ampere

iii) v' across 6 ohms

As by ohms law

V' = I X R

hence they are connected in series so current will be same...

V' = 0.5 x 6 = 3 volt
