Given Equation is  4x^2 + px + 3 = 0.

It is in the form of ax^2 + bc + x = 0. Where a = 4,b = p,c = 3.

We know that Equation will have real roots when D = b^2-4ac = 0.

D = b^2 - 4ac = 0

    (p)^2 - 4(4)(3) = 0

    p^2 - 48 = 0

    p^2 = 48

    p = +48 (or) - 48

        = +4 \sqrt{3} (or) -4 \sqrt{3}

Hope this helps!
