the discount is nor given in percentage right...
so just subtract 25 from 125 i.e. 100
now multiply the no. of books
=40×100
=4000
Therefore the shopkeeper can buy 4000 books
I hope thus helps
thank u

total money the shopkeeper has = (40 * 125) = 5000
with Rs. 25 discount on each book, one book will cost =100 i.e.(125 - 25)
now, the no. of books the shop keeper can buy = (5000/100) = 50
