Solution:

w.k.t., a semi-prime is natural number that is a product of two prime numbers and two numbers are said to be co-primes if their HCF is 1.

1) 77 = 7×11 and 33 = 3×11.

∵Both 77 and 33 are product of two prime numbers. ∴They are semi primes.

∵Their HCF is 11 (≠1). ∴They are not co-primes.

⇒ (77,33) are semi-primes but not co-primes.

2) 75 = 3×5×5 and 88 = 2×2×2×11

∵Both 75 and 88 are product of more than two prime numbers. ∴They are not semi-primes.

∵Their HCF is 1. ∴They are co-primes.

⇒ (75,88) are co-primes but not semi-primes.

3) 69 = 3×23 and 77 = 7×11

∵Both 69 and 77 are product of two prime numbers. ∴They are semi-primes.

∵Their HCF is 1. ∴They are co-primes.

⇒ (69,77) are co-primes as well as semi-primes.

4) 56 = 2×2×2×7 and 63 = 3×3×7

∵Both 56 and 63 are product of more than two prime numbers. ∴They are not semi-primes.

∵Their HCF is 7 (≠1). ∴They are not co-primes.

⇒ (56,63) are neither semi-primes nor co-primes.
