6 pieces of equal lenght

total lenght=200+100cm=300cm

300/6=50cm peices

300/9=33.33cm each piece

300/12=25cm each piece

300/15=20cm each piece

but for 8

300/8=37.5

now 37.5 has to be taken from 100 and 200 independently

(you can't take some part from the first string and some from the other)

therefore 37.5+37.5+37.5=112.5

but we have only 100cm string and we can't cut some part from 200cm string

so B is the answer
