Question :

In the given figure ABCD is a square find the following.

a. ∠ABD

b. ∠BDC

c. ∠BAC

Solution :

Must know -

Diagonals bisect the corresponding angle in a square.

• Alternative angles are equal

Each angle of a square is 90°

a. ∠ABD is the angle formed after the ∠B is bisected. As we know, " Each angle of a square is 90° " ∠ABD is 45°.

b. ∠BDC, this angle is alternate to ∠ABD. Thus, ∠BDC is also 45°

c. ∠BAC is the angle formed after the ∠A is bisected. As we know, " Each angle of a square is 90° " ∠ABD is 45°.
