other parellal side = x+6

Area of trapezium = 180cm²
height = 9cm

$area \: of \: trapezium \: = \frac{1}{2} h(a + b)$

$180 = \frac{1}{2} \times 9(x + x + 6)$

$180 = \frac{1}{2} \times 9 \times (2x + 6)$

$\frac{180 \times 2}{9} = 2x + 6$

$40 = 2x + 6$

$40 - 6 = 2x$
$34 = 2x$

$x = \frac{34}{2}$
$x = 17$
therefore,

1st side = x = 17cm

2nd side = x+6 = 17+6 = 23cm
