plez answer me!!!! This is a linear equation

let his monthly salary = x
 and annual increment = y
  then  after 2 year 
                            x+2y = 11000           .............(1)          
   again after 4 year 
                                 x+4y=14000        ..................(2)
                    applying (2) -(1) we get
                        x+4y-(x+2y)=14000-11000=3000
                         2y = 3000
                     y = 1500
    by equation (1)  x= 11000-2y =11000 -3000 =8000
   monthly salary is 8000 and annual increment is 1500 . ans
