Simran2003: I want to know too
Anonymous: It was called off because it had turned violent at Chauri Chaura in Gorakhpur. There were around 22 policemen were killed as the Police Station was put on fire. ji also found that people are not trained for non-violent movement.

there are 2 reason
1) because the civil disobedience lost it's momentum
2)Because of signing of Gandhi Irwin pact, Gandhi agreed to discontinuecivil disobedient movement. ... He launched Individual civil disobedienceon August 1, 1933. Civil Disobedience movement continued till April 1934 when gandhi formally withdrawn it.
