Question :

Write two rationals between \sf{\dfrac{-2}{3}\: and \dfrac{-1}{3}}

Answer :

We will follow up the given steps to find the solution :

  • Check if the numbers have same denominators i.e . if they are like fractions.

  • If not take LCM and convert into like fractions.

  • If they already are same ; multiply both the fractions with a same number with both numerators and denominators.

  • List down all the numbers found.

Following the steps we find out that the denominators are already same so we need to multiply each by a common number.

\sf{\dfrac{-2 \times 10}{3 \times 10} = \dfrac{-20}{30}}

\sf{\dfrac{-1}{30} = \dfrac{-10}{30}}

Now we just need to list down any numbers between \sf{\dfrac{-10}{30}\: and \dfrac{-20}{30}}

= \sf{\dfrac{-11}{30} ,  \dfrac{-12}{30} , \dfrac{-19}{30}}
