plot A(3,0), B(0,2), C(-3,0), D(0,-2) on a graph paper. Join A to B,B to C, C to D, D to A to form a quadrilateral ABCD , Is ABCD a rhombus? Also write the equation of AC and BD

Solution:

Properties of Rhombus:

1)Diagonal Bisect each other at 90°

here in the given figure Diagonal AC and BD meet at point E.

Here length of AC is 6; EC= EA =3 unit

Here length of BD is 4; BE= ED =2 unit

both the axis x and y meet at origin and perpendicular to each other.

So, ABCD is a rhombus.

1) Equation of AC => y=0

2)Equation of BD=> x=0
